The reason people drive here
Engine work and custom builds
LS swaps, GM computer programming and tuning, custom wiring, hot rods and street rods, built in the same bays as the daily drivers that roll through Old Mill Road every day.
Chapter 01
What an LS swap actually costs you if the wiring is an afterthought
An LS engine swap looks like a bolt-in job from the outside, and the conversion itself is genuinely the easy half. The part that decides whether the finished vehicle actually drives right is the wiring harness, the GM computer programming and the tuning that goes with it. Skip that step or rush it and you end up with an engine that runs but never quite idles, shifts or pulls the way it should.
That's the piece Lug Nutz Automotive handles as a matched set, not three separate jobs handed to three different shops. Custom wiring gets built to suit the swap, the GM computer gets programmed for the combination that's actually under the hood, and the tuning gets dialed in on the finished vehicle, not guessed at on paper.

How a project runs through Old Mill Road
It starts with a phone call to speak with Matt about what you're building, whether it's a full LS swap, a street rod resto, suspension and performance upgrades, a nitrous purge kit, a flame thrower, or an AC install on something that never had one. You'll go over options on parts prices and payment plans before anything gets torn apart, because a hot rod project runs longer than a same-day repair and the shop would rather you know the plan than get surprised by it halfway through.
The custom builds sit in the same bays as the daily drivers that come through for an oil change or a brake job. That matters more than it sounds like it should: it means aftermarket installation and performance work get the same attention and the same bench as everything else, not a back corner nobody checks on. Calls and emails about a project get a callback by the next business day.
Chapter 03
Engine work that is not a build
Most of what comes through this part of the shop isn't a hot rod at all. It's a daily driver with a bad engine that needs a rebuild or a complete overhaul, done right the first time. One customer's 2012 Escalade needed a full engine replacement, and by his own account Matt's crew had it done in record time, priced fairly with no hidden fees, and the car has run like new since.
Whatever the job, engine work at Lug Nutz Automotive carries the shop's Certified Auto Repair nationwide warranty, 24 months or 24,000 miles, with complimentary roadside assistance on qualifying work. In the first few hundred miles after a rebuild or a swap, keep an eye on fluid levels, listen for anything that sounds new, and call Old Mill Road if something doesn't feel settled yet. That's what the callback and the warranty are there for.
